General
You get the best hold in semi-compact soil. That gives the anchor enough resistance to set and pull cleanly. Very loose or very hard ground may reduce performance.
You use GroundReaper anchors for self-recovery when you do not have a tree, rock, or other solid anchor point. They help pull ATVs, UTVs, SXSs, Jeeps, and similar vehicles out of mud or tough terrain. You can also use one as a rear anchor when winching.
You drive the anchor into the ground at an angle away from the stuck vehicle. Then you apply tension with a winch or come-along. The soil resists the pull and creates a solid recovery point.
You can use the GRATV for ATVs and light UTVs under 1,000 lbs. You can use the GRSXS for larger UTVs and SXSs under 2,000 lbs.
